Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of their personal information. This page explains what those terms mean for SteppersLife Events and gives you a way to submit an opt-out request.
SteppersLife Events does not sell your personal information for monetary compensation. We do not rent, trade, or auction lists of users to third-party data brokers.
Under the CPRA, “sharing” has a broader definition than the everyday meaning of the word. It includes disclosing personal information to a third party for “cross-context behavioral advertising,” which means using information collected on our site to target advertising to you on other sites or apps. Even when no money changes hands, that disclosure can still count as “sharing” under California law.
In the course of running our service, we use third-party processors that may receive limited information about your visit. These currently include:
Advertising is not currently running on SteppersLife Events. When we introduce advertising through Google AdSense, it will be added to this list and disclosed in the Advertising, Cookies & Consent section of our Privacy Policy.
For a full description of how we collect and use personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
If your browser or browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out preference signal under the CCPA/CPRA and honor it automatically for that browser — you do not need to also submit the email request below. Once advertising is live, a “Privacy settings” link in the site footer also lets you review or change your consent choices at any time.
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, send an email to the address below. We will process verified requests within 15 business days as required by the CPRA.

Include in your message:
We may need to verify your identity before processing the request. Verification helps prevent fraudulent opt-out requests submitted in someone else’s name.
You may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. The agent must email [email protected] and attach written authorization signed by you. We may contact you directly to confirm the request before processing it.
We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised your CCPA/CPRA rights.
